Reference to Notice to Navigation Interest 22-15, dated 12 July, 2022.  The repairs to the auxiliary and main chambers at Willow Island Locks and Dam, Ohio River, mile 161.7 has been postponed. A revised notice will be issued once new dates for the repairs are determined.

Notice is given that on or about 27 July, 2022, SAF inc., contractor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District, will commence maintenance repairs on the auxiliary and main chambers at Willow Island Locks and Dam, Ohio River, mile 161.7. The auxiliary chamber will be temporarily closed beginning 27 July, 2022 and will reopen on or about 02 September, 2022.  The main chamber will be temporarily closed beginning 06 September, 2022 and will reopen on or about 29 September, 2022. It is anticipated this work will be completed on or about 29 September, 2022.  It is given so that industrial and recreational waterway users may have a general knowledge of the lock outages and can plan their operations accordingly.

All interested parties should review the maintenance schedule for impact. Additional notices furnishing specific information and operating requirements for repairs resulting in major delays will be published prior to commencing the work items listed.
